STUCK Send This Review to a Friend
An unpleasant little horror film based on a real incident, “Stuck” grows increasingly absurd as it charges along. Directed by Stuart Gordon and co-written by him and John Strysik, the bizarre tale is expertly told with respect to sustaining the nasty situation around which the action is built.
Tom, played by excellent actor Stephen Rea, has lost his job and is sadly wandering about when he is struck by a car driven by Brandi (Mena Suvari), who works in a nursing home as a caregiver. Tom sails through the windshield, where he is stuck and a bloody mess. Brandi panics. The accident could wreck her life.
Instead of getting help, she drives home and locks the car in her garage with poor Tom still trapped and bleeding. Now the tension involves Tom desperately struggling to escape and get help and Brandi enlisting her amoral, drug-dealer boyfriend Rashid (Russell Hornsby) to figure out what to do.
If you think this is already terrible, wait. Things get worse. We’re stuck along with Tom.
A THINKFilm release.
