INTREPID SEA AND AIR SPACE MUSEUM

A major New York tourist attraction that consistently draws families visiting the city is the Intrepid Sea and Air Space Museum. The retired aircraft carrier Intrepid is docked at Pier 86, West 46th Street and 12th Avenue, and going aboard is a fascinating experience. One can climb to the flight deck and see the various planes or wander below to the crew's quarters as they were during the ship's war service. There are exhibits that reflect the growth of air power plus a myriad of other attractions. Special admission rates are available for seniors, children, veterans and groups. Phone: 212-245-0072.
