BARNUM & BAILEY circus is stopping in the New York metropolitan area with a full array of animals, clowns and daredevil attractions. Victor Urias, his two sons, Erwin and Melvin and Erwin's wife Jodie do their speeding motorcycle act inside a steel globe. Another feature is the "Living Carousel" assemblage of animals and circus folk replete with rhinestone-decorated costumes and mirrors. In short, it's the circus's attempt to impress adults and children alike.
The troupe plays Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, March 26-April ll, with earlier stops at the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, N.J. (March 12-14,), the Nassau Coliseum, 1225 Hempstead Turnpike, Uniondale, N.Y. (March 16-22). Tickets $10.50-$42.50. Phone: 212-307-7171.
