NEW YORK PUBLIC LIBRARY

There are all sorts of interesting places to go in New York and anybody with a feeling for our cultural heritage should visit the magnificently restored new reading room at the main NEW YORK PUBLIC LIBRARY. The room, a prime location for educational nourishment since 1911, has been spectacularly refurbished. More than that, the facilities now include elaborate computer set-ups, bright new lighting and an overall inviting ambience for calling up books and spending hours reading them for pleasure or research. The library's renowned Room 315 is worth a visit if only to look at the splendor of its glittering Beaux-Arts ceiling. New York Public Library, Fifth Avenue at 42nd Street.
