THE BIG APPLE CIRCUS

The theme of the 25th anniversary edition of the Big Apple Circus, a traditional attraction at Lincoln Center, is "Dreams of a City," built around the setting of New York at the beginning of the 20th Century. The circus run is from October 24th, 2002-January 12th, 2003, and it will be ensconced in Lincoln Center's Damrosch Park. The idea is to celebrate New York as a melting pot, with various components of the show reflecting the city's cultural diversity. The Big Apple Circus is a one-ring affair that is much more intimate than the more sprawling type, and it has earned a fine reputation over the years. Tickets range from $18-$70, depending on the schedule. Phone: 212-721-6500 or 212-307-4100.
